You Will Make It Through

In my past, many betrayed me that I confided in. I betrayed some who confided in me. I broke some hearts. Many broke my heart. I had my share of choosing to tell lies. And of course, I was told many lies. Bitterness was a weapon I used against some. Many have been bitter towards me. Unhappiness was my home. Misery was my walk and my talk. And guess what? I thank God for it all! Experiencing betrayal taught me honesty. Experiencing heartbreak taught me how to love. Experiencing bitterness taught me kindness. Experiencing unhappiness taught me joy. Misery taught me contentment. God used my past to create the woman I am today. Yes, I cried many times. Yes, it hurt like the dickens. Just as a lump of coal has to undergo pressure, cutting, and shaping to become a beautiful diamond, we have to undergo some rough things to become who God wants us to be. And you know the comforting thing about the process? God is there with us and He never leaves our sides. It may not feel like you will make it through. It may not even look like you will make it through. But know that with God, all things are possible and with Him on your side, you WILL make it through. “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God'” (Mark 10:27 NIV).
