Making Your Days Count

I received some heartbreaking news this morning regarding an older lady whom I loved dearly. From my understanding, COVID had taken a toll on her body and God called her home to be with Him. I grew up under her wings and have so many fond memories of her. I stayed at her house as if I lived there and she treated me like her very own. Death is inevitable and will happen to all of us; however, it is easy to get caught up in living life is such a way that we become blind to the unexpected. Both my parents are alive and healthy and I am so grateful for this. I make it a part of my day to make sure they are okay but most importantly, I do my best in making sure that my days count in the eyes of God. Some days are more trying than others but eventually, I get there. I often have to redirect my thoughts and actions to “what God wants me to do and say” rather than “Stacy Lynn’s emotions and feelings.” God has blessed us with the gift of life. He wants us to use this gift wisely and find ways to appreciate and share it. The unexpected can happen to any of us at any moment. Unexpected or expected – we will all encounter Jesus when we leave this earth and He will ask you if you made your days here on earth truly count and if so, how did you make them count. So today, I ask all of you, “Are you simply counting your days or are you making your days count?”
