When Isolation Becomes Dangerous

Isolation can be good, especially when you need to take a break from things and people. But did you know that isolation can also be dangerous? Isolation becomes dangerous when you LIVE IN IT. God wants us to fellowship with other Christians. You can’t do that if you live in isolation. Gods want you to receive encouragement as well as encourage others. You can’t do that if you live in isolation. Yes, you can encourage yourself but having other Christians in your life to KEEP you encouraged is what God wants for you. Living in isolation allows to devil to enter your thoughts and tamper with your self-esteem, your fears, and your emotions. Isolation is also selfishness. There comes a time when you will have to isolate yourself so that you can rejuvenate but it is not good TO LIVE THERE. Come forward with the mind and heart that has been renewed in Christ. Visit a church if you don’t have a church home. Start smiling and greeting strangers, even when you don’t feel like it. Tell the cashier that she is doing an amazing job. Go visit the nursing home. TThere is so much you can do to keep from living in isolation. Some of us have been hurt by people before but that doesn’t mean that EVERY PERSON YOU MEET is the same as the one who hurt you. Get down on your knees and pray to God for people to come into your life that will INSPIRE you. Develop that faith that God will deliver because HE CAN and HE WILL. “One who has isolated himself seeks his own desires; he rejects all sound judgment” (Genesis 2:18).
